The JFC Nursery

Welcome to Jackson Friends Church Nursery Tree. We welcome all children from birth through 3 years of age. We offer nursery care during worship services, the Sunday Life Group hour, Wednesday nights and many special events. A pager system allows parents peace of mind, knowing caretakers can reach them quickly in case their child needs attention. Our nursery provides a safe, caring environment for your child to learn about God while learning valuable social skills.

Let’s take a virtual walk through the nursery!

Upon arrival at our Nursery Check-In, you will be given a 4-part security sticker to fill out. Should your child have an allergy or special need, your child will be given a special alert bracelet to wear to notify the nursery volunteer. You will be given the security stub part of the sticker back, along with a pager. Our goal is to always provide your child a safe environment to learn about God.

You will then proceed down the nursery hall, to the appropriate nursery room that is based according to your child’s age.

This is our infant nursery room. We have a delightful teddy bear/butterfly theme here. All babies from birth to 18 months will be in this nursery. Your baby will be held, rocked & played with by our loving volunteers. (Please know that we never let a baby cry for more than 5 to 10 minutes, without notifying you.) We encourage all our volunteer staff to pray for you and your child.

This is our 18 months through twos nursery room. The theme of this room is “Jungle”! For this age, the children will begin learning bible stories by using our big felt board. A small snack of animal crackers, goldfish, nilla wafers, and water will be given at snack -time. If you do not want your child to have snack, just let our workers know.

This is our 3 years old nursery room. This room has an “Under The Sea” theme. We have a separate classroom and a play area in this nursery. Your child will learn to sit at a table and learn a bible story, color, and /or make a small craft. We also have a large play area to encourage children to play nicely together. During the 11:00 am service, the 3 year olds will be taken upstairs to sing with the older preschoolers from 11:05 to 11:20. They really enjoy this time of singing and will occasionally sing for the congregation.
